When the month of June hits, it’s party season so we thought it would be appropriate to introduce you to a cake business owned by our client and friend – Ashley Falkner. We can tell you first hand that her creations are both beautiful and delicious!
Ashley’s Purple Apron
I’m Ashley Falkner, wife of a man in blue, mom to three adorable kiddos, and a self taught cake artist in the Kansas City area. A few years ago, I could no longer deny that my passion for sugar art was just a hobby, and Ashley’s Purple Apron was born.
As a home-based baker, I love to create edible art in the form of cake for my customers. Let’s face it though, if it doesn’t taste good, what’s the point? That’s why I’ve spent countless hours perfecting all of my cake and frosting recipes. I want to be sure I deliver only the best looking AND tasting cakes to my customers. My favorite feedback is when I hear “it tasted just as good as it looked!”
As my business continued to grow, I began offering classes (online and hands-on) to better serve my people. Hands-on classes are perfect for anyone wanting to improve (or begin) their cake decorating skills, and online classes offer more advanced techniques.
