Carving Pumpkins and Kicking Cancer’s Butt!

October is breast cancer awareness month, but we’ve decided to go a little farther and make it Kick Cancer’s Butt month! In order to encourage any kind of support for cancer research or other cancer fundraising efforts, we’re giving away a limited edition, pink Long Real Estate home shirt to anyone who emails us a proof of donation. Again, it can be ANY kind of cancer research or fundraiser, not just breast cancer. All you have to do is email us at [email protected]. If you don’t like the pink, no worries, we have other colors as well!

If you’d like to help out but don’t know where to start, below are a few options of places to donate including the Go Fund Me for our client and friend, Matt Jones who was just recently diagnosed with brain cancer. Thank you for your efforts to help kick cancer’s butt!

Ideas for places to donate:

Matt Jones and his fiance just recently closed on their new home with Long Real Estate and just a few weeks later, he had a seizure and was diagnosed with Brain Cancer. He is unable to work and the medical expenses are ongoing. They do not want to lose their newly purchased home so any help is appreciated. You can donate to Matt’s fund at the link below.

One of our preferred lenders, Jen Gile, will be participating in Kansas City’s Dancing with the Stars gala in June to benefit Noah’s Bandage Project that will help fund cancer research at Children’s Mercy Hospital and other ways globally. To donate to this cause, you can click the link below and with your donation add Jen Gile – Dancing with the Starts under company name.

In 2018 there were over 2 million new cases of breast cancer diagnosed worldwide. The Susan G. Komen foundation is an on-going non-profit working to end breast cancer. Over 80 cents of every dollar donated goes toward research, health programs and education on breast cancer and early detection.
