What’s up, Kansas City! Labor Day Weekend is almost upon us, and if you’re planning to hang around town to hopefully enjoy an extra day off, we have a great lineup of events for you to choose from. Namely, some of our favorite annual festivals!

Friday:

The weekend kicks off with plenty of energy. Fans of late-’90s and early-2000s pop will want to catch the Pop 2000 Tour, featuring Chris Kirkpatrick of *NSYNC, O-Town, BBMak, and more. If nostalgia isn’t your thing, head over to Kauffman Stadium where the Royals take on the Tigers in a home series.

Festival season is also in full swing. SantaCaliGon Days in Independence continues through September 1 with carnival rides, live entertainment, and local vendors, while KC Irish Fest brings music, dancing, food, and culture downtown all weekend long.

For something a little different, SERV’s End of Summer Luau will keep the island vibes alive with food, drinks, and tropical fun, and classic car lovers won’t want to miss Greaserama 2025, a massive gathering of hot rods, custom builds, and vintage rides.

Saturday:

Saturday marks the opening of the Kansas City Renaissance Festival, transporting visitors back in time with jousting knights, costumed performers, and endless turkey legs. Meanwhile, downtown will be filled with color at the KC Chalk & Walk Festival, where local artists transform sidewalks into works of art right before your eyes.

If you’re craving something seasonal, head out to Gieringer’s Family Farm for the Apple Cider Fest, where you can sip fresh cider, pick apples, and enjoy family-friendly activities in the orchard.

Sunday:

The weekend wraps up with a bang as Linkin Park brings their From Zero World Tour to Kansas City. Expect an electrifying performance that will cap off the weekend with a high-energy finale.

Let us know in the comments where we might run into you this weekend and have fun, Kansas City!
