Our Favorite Things: David Barraza

Our business is built on relationships, and the best way to strengthen those is to keep learning about each other! We wanted to share some fun facts about some of our team members and clients with our Long Real Estate Team family, so this month we’re getting an inside look at the mind of David Barraza (we promise it’s not as scary as it sounds).

Where did your favorite memory in Kansas City take place, and what’s the story behind it?

I have a ton of memories in KC, but one of my very favorites is watching my first live soccer game with my dad. At my soccer game earlier that day I scored two goals, including the one that won the game for my team 3-2. That night as we watched the Wizards play at Arrowhead Stadium (wow that’s an old sentence!), their player with the same jersey number as me also score two goals and helped them win 3-2. I was 10 years old and I thought it was the coolest thing ever.

If you could meet any celebrity who has ever lived, who would it be and why?

I’m going to have to go with Cristiano Ronaldo – that dude is on a totally different level in every way! He is a machine on the soccer field, and the physical discipline and work ethic it takes to achieve his level of skill is something I admire a ton. I just love everything he’s about.

What’s your favorite thing to splurge on that feels super luxurious but is totally worth the money?

There are a LOT of things I like to splurge on, but my top has to be really incredible food. My girlfriend and I love trying new restaurants together and experiencing different types of food and cooking styles.

If you could only listen to one musical artist, read one book, and watch one movie for the rest of your life, what would they be?

  1. Drake
  2. The Greatest Salesman in the World
  3. This is an even tie between Wolf of Wall Street and any of the Marvel movies, I can’t choose.
