Today weβre talking about last chance World Cup tickets, a new venue for the KC Symphony, and Joeβs Kansas City opening a familiar but new concept.Β
Β
1οΈβ£If youβre a soccer fan who missed out on snagging tickets to the World Cup, you haveΒ
one last chance to shoot your shot this week! FIFAβs βlast-minuteβ sales phase will begin atΒ
10 a.m. Wednesday, April 1st. Tickets will become available at FIFA.com/tickets. FIFAΒ
will also reopen its resale/exchange marketplace for ticketholders who need to sell their tickets.
Β
2οΈβ£ The Kansas City Symphony has announced plans for a beautiful new music venue in South Plaza, but not to worry; the Symphony will continue to call the Kauffman Center for Performing Arts home for many of its performances. The secondary concert hall will expand the orchestraβs offerings and welcome more touring artists to Kansas City. Designed by two local firms, Populous and McCownGordon, the 4,600 seat concert hall at 4901 Main Street is slated to open in 2028.

3οΈβ£ The former Taco Republic complex off 47th and Mission is finally getting a new purpose. The owners of Joeβs Kansas City Bar-B-Que just across the street plan to launch Joeβs Next Door this May, a riff on their beloved barbecue concept with some familiar favorites and new offerings. The menu is still in the works, but you can expect to find the classic Z-man sandwich and famous seasoned french fries alongside smoked salmon, housemade ice cream and more. No word yet on smoked salmon ice cream.
