Things to do this Fall in KC

This list is by no means exhaustive, but below are some awesome Fall events around the city that you and the family might want to check out! Just click the title links for more info on each event.*

Fall Flavors One of the best things about Fall is the comfort food and seasonal flavors. VisitKC has put together an awesome list of seasonal dishes and cocktails around town. Bon Appétit!

Louisburg Cider Mill It wouldn’t be fall without a trip to the Louisburg Cider Mill for some cider and donuts! But it’s not just delicious treats that they have – there are all kinds of kid-friendly activities, a 10 acre corn maze, country store, pumpkin patch and more! The CiderFest is the first weekend in October, so don’t miss out!

Renaissance Festival Another seasonal tradition around the city is the Renaissance Festival that is open on weekends through October 15th. There are shows, games, and of course you can’t leave without eating a turkey leg!

Worlds of Fun – Worlds of Fun has something for everyone this time of year. From the family-friendly Great Pumpkin Fest which is all treats and no tricks to Halloween Haunt which is a terrifying Halloween extravaganza (not recommended for children under 14)

Carolyn’s Country Cousins – When it’s time to go pick out your pumpkins, there are good options both north and south of the city. North is home to Carolyn’s Country Cousins open daily until the end of October.

Falkner’s Ranch – A great fall time in the south end of the city is Falkner’s Ranch where you’ll find rides, entertainment, petting zoo, pumpkins, and much more!

Boo at the ZooPut on your favorite costume and join the zoo animals for a trumpeting great day of not so spooky activities. Children will trick-or-treat the Zoo while enjoying Halloween-themed activities and entertainment.

Haunted Houses – “Combined with KC’s pioneering use of the ‘open format,’ which allows visitors to wander without a predestined path, the city has earned the title of ‘The Haunted House Capital of the World,’ making it one of the best places to visit during Halloween season.” These are a few of the top haunts…

Weston ApplefestCelebrating 29 years, the Applefest celebration in historic downtown Weston is known throughout the Midwest as one of the best fall festivals in Missouri.
