The entire metro is throwing a party for the FIFA World Cup this June, and here's where to be:
Official FIFA Fan Festival: Kansas City's official FIFA Fan Festival takes place on the grounds of the National WWI Museum and Memorial over 18 days between June 11- July 11, and general admission is free every day.
Soccer in the City: The KC Live! Block in the Power & Light District is hosting an all-day downtown experience called "Soccer in the City" with a large outdoor screen, live concerts, DJ sets, live podcasts on stage, contests, and limited-edition scarf giveaways. Admission for non-concert events is free and open to all ages.
Soccer Capital Summer: Sporting KC is hosting watch parties at Sporting Park for more than 20 matches spread across 10 different days. The series kicks off with group stage quadruple-headers on June 17, 18, and 22, and runs through the World Cup Final on July 19.
Current Landing: The newly developed waterfront district anchored by CPKC Stadium is hosting a massive series of Riverfront Watch Parties all summer long, covering major World Cup matches and KC Current away games. The outdoor fan zone is centered around a giant broadcast screen right on the river.
Vine Street F.C.: Throughout the tournament, the 18th & Vine Jazz District will host six major district-wide events. The family-friendly watch parties will feature local DJs, live jazz performances, and community brunches.
Kick it in KCK: The "Kick it in KCK" campaign features nine free watch parties with massive LED screens inside a climate-controlled environment. Five of those dates also include the outdoor "One World Wyandotte Street Festival" on 7th Street with live music, food trucks, and cultural showcases.
Johnson County Soccer Celebration: Theatre in the Park will host a series of FIFA World Cup watch parties from June 16 through July 19 on select match days, featuring live match broadcasts on a massive 20-by-30-foot LED screen. The Johnson County Park and Recreation District is running the events, with food trucks, local vendors, activities and live entertainment.ย
Lee's Summit Futbol Fridays: Watch parties happening in Downtown Lee's Summit on select Friday match days throughout the tournament. A great local option for clients on the south/east side of the metro.
Grandview Amphitheater: The Grandview Amphitheater will host two official watch parties โ the first on Thursday, June 18, and the second combining the USA 250 Birthday celebration with a match screening on Thursday, July 2.
Cafรฉ Corazรณn: Cafรฉ Corazรณn in the Crossroads is hosting a multi-week World Cup Watch Party Series starting June 16. It kicks off with a traditional Argentine "Banderazo" street festival on June 15, featuring an authentic asado grill, empanadas, and live music, followed by events for major group stage and knockout matches.
Lucky Strike: Lucky Strike is showing all 104 matches from June 11โJuly 19 in partnership with Casamigos. Free admission, with Casamigos specialty cocktails, a commemorative cup, and branded socks. Lane reservations are recommended and can be made up to 10 days in advance.
Clock Tower Landing: The Clock Tower Landing area next to the new farmers market pavilion will host two free public watch parties - one on June 16 for Argentina vs. Algeria, and one on July 11 for the quarterfinal match, with plenty of refreshments available for purchase and fun activities for the kids!
Public House: PH Coffee/Public House is hosting "The Global Soccer Event: Every Match. Every Day." starting June 11, showing every game throughout the tournament and offering a special menu of themed coffees, cocktails and snacks.ย
KC Bier Co.: KC Bier Co. is showing matches throughout the tournament in their German-style Bierhalle and Biergarten, with a full draught lineup of award-winning German-style biers and a food menu of bratwurst, pretzels, bierocks, and more. They're covering nearly every match from June 11 through at least June 21, with multiple games per day on weekends.ย
Border Brewing Co.: Border Brewing is hosting dedicated watch parties for all four KC-hosted World Cup matches at their Crossroads taproom. Matchday events feature live viewing, craft beer (including Easy Landing IPA, Strawberry Blonde Ale, and Lima Fresca), handcrafted cocktails, cider, seltzer, and their Baseline Non-Alcoholic Beer Series for non-drinkers.ย
Lenexa City Center: The Pitch is hosting three free community watch parties in the green space at the heart of Lenexa City Center on June 12, 25, and July 11, complete with food trucks and two huge screens.
